Job summary

Friendship Village STL in St. Louis is seeking a friendly Food Server to welcome residents in the dining room and assist with menu choices. You will ensure timely service and maintain a clean dining environment in a skilled nursing setting.

Prior experience serving tables is preferred; excellent communication and courtesy are essential as you work closely with residents, families, and staff. This role offers on-site work with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Experience serving tables in a hotel, restaurant or similar setting is desirable.
• Ability to explain the menu and address questions from residents and guests.
• Must work well with residents, visitors, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for resident interactions in the dining room.
• Prepare dining tables with cleanliness and organization in mind.
• Attend to residents as they arrive in the dining area.
• Present menus and help residents choose food and beverages.
• Take orders and relay to kitchen staff promptly.
• Deliver and serve food and beverages, confirming correct items.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and surfaces per schedules.
• Assist with transporting items between kitchen and dining areas.
