Job summary

Friendship Village STL in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Food Server for our Skilled Nursing dining room. The right candidate will provide friendly resident service, maintain cleanliness, and help guests choose meals.

Open evenings from 4pm to 7:30pm with day availability. We value a can-do attitude and teamwork. A high school diploma is preferred but not required; prior table service in hospitality is desirable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Experience serving tables in hotel, restaurant, or fine dining desirable.
• Ability to interpret and explain the menu, address questions, and manage the meal service process.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for resident interactions in the dining room.
• Prepare dining tables with an emphasis on cleanliness and organization.
• Attend to residents as they arrive in the dining area.
• Present menus and assist residents in choosing food and beverages.
• Take food and beverage orders, ensuring they are communicated to the kitchen staff promptly.
• Deliver and serve food and beverage items quickly and confirm that each resident has received the correct menu items.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment, work surfaces, and the kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Assist in transporting food and items to and from the kitchen to dining or resident rooms.
