Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in West San Jose is seeking a part-time Dining Room Server to provide high-quality meal service and create a gracious dining environment for our residents. Scheduling includes Friday 3:00pm-7:00pm, Saturday 3:00pm-7:30pm, and Sunday 3:00pm-7:00pm.

Responsibilities include accurate order taking, relaying orders to the kitchen, and delivering excellent resident service while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation.

Qualifications

• Maintain high-quality service and gracious environment in dining setting.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Experience in dietary department of a health care facility or restaurant preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Assist with special functions as scheduled.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in dining areas.
• Know daily specials and how they are prepared and presented.
• Learn residents' names and dietary needs.
