Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living in West Des Moines is seeking a Dining Room Server for a senior living community. This full-time, non-exempt role pays $16.00 per hour and runs Sunday–Thursday from 6am to 2pm.

You will provide high–quality meal service, relay orders to the kitchen, and deliver warm, respectful service to our residents. Stay present for full meal service, maintain cleanliness, and uphold our core values.

Qualifications

• Provide service of high-quality meals and facilitation of a gracious environment.
• Accurate communication and order taking, properly relaying meal orders to back of the house staff.
• Offer exceptional customer service, as part of all interactions with our cherished residents.
• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary and infection free environment.

Responsibilities

• Be present in dining room for full meal service.
• Assist special functions as scheduled.
• Maintain high cleanliness, hygiene, and a sanitary environment.
• Oversight of bistro areas – food presentation, cleanliness, stock supplies, beverages.
• Know the specials of the day and how they are prepared and presented.
• Learn individual resident names, dietary needs, requests, likes and dislikes.
• Must serve hot food hot and cold food cold.
• As directed, participate in the Quality Assurance Committee.
• Sanitize tables and chairs, reset tables, and vacuum floor after each meal.
• Attend all trainings, orientation, and mandatory meetings.
