Job summary

Legacy House of Spanish Fork is seeking an experienced Dining Room Server to deliver exceptional resident dining experiences. You will be the main contact during meals, resolve concerns with care, and help schedule and mentor staff to ensure smooth service.

You’ll support management with procedures and housekeeping of dining operations, watching for opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and resident satisfaction in a busy senior living setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in dining, hospitality, customer service, senior living, or a related field.
• Valid Food Handler’s Permit or ServeSafe Certification in the state you are applying in, as required by the state.
• Extensive knowledge of dining room operations and customer service.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong leadership abilities with the confidence to guide, mentor, and support team members.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve escalated concerns effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for residents and guests during mealtimes.
• Address and resolve escalated resident and guest questions, concerns, and service issues with professionalism and care.
• Assist with scheduling and coordinating staff shifts to ensure appropriate dining room coverage.
• Train, mentor, and support newer Dining Room Servers on customer service standards, dining procedures, and best practices.
• Provide guidance and support to team members during busy or high-pressure dining periods.
• Monitor dining room operations to ensure cleanliness, safety, organization, and service standards are consistently maintained.
• Assist management with developing and implementing procedures, processes, and protocols that improve dining room operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, resident satisfaction, and overall dining operations.
• Maintain inventory of dining room supplies and coordinate orders as needed.
• Assist with reservations, seating arrangements, special requests, and accommodations.
• Ensure resident dietary restrictions and individual dining preferences are communicated and appropriately addressed.
• Follow all food-handling, safety, sanitation, infection control, and loss-prevention procedures.
