Job summary

Legacy Pointe at UCF is seeking a part-time Server to deliver a positive dining experience for residents, greeting guests, taking orders, and serving meals with warmth and professionalism in a welcoming environment.

You will support dining services, assist during dinner service, and help with dishwashing and setup while following safety and sanitation procedures. A background screening is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in food service or senior living dining preferred.
• Experience with older adults or healthcare dining is helpful.
• Ability to obtain Food Handler certification within required timeframe.
• Must be available to work the 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM shift.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Must have a friendly, welcoming attitude and enjoy interacting with residents, guests, and team members.
• Ability to greet residents and guests promptly, warmly, and respectfully.
• Ability to take accurate meal orders while considering dietary restrictions.
• Ability to serve meals and beverages courteously and promptly.
• Ability to assist residents who may need help with cutting food or transporting trays.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Dietary staff, Nursing, Concierge, and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Greeting residents and guests and taking accurate meal orders.
• Serving meals and beverages and maintaining dining areas.
• Assisting residents during dinner service and with dietary needs.
• Resetting dining areas before, during, and after service.
• Helping with dishwashing, bussing, and stock rotation as needed.
• Communicating resident needs to the Culinary team or supervisor.
