Job summary

Columbia Dining Services is seeking a Porter to join our dining operations at Ferris Booth Commons. You will clean and maintain kitchens, dining rooms, basements, and related areas, supporting the Manager on Duty and helping other staff as needed.

Responsibilities include washing dishes and equipment, shampooing rugs, floor and wall cleaning, and using dishwashing and rug cleaning machines, while adhering to safety standards and team instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or the equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes, pots, and pans.
• Shampoo rugs.
• Cleans and washes floors and walls.
• Uses equipment such as, but not limited to, dish washing machines, rug shampoo machines, and pot washing machines.
• Assists other employees in the performance of their jobs, as directed by responsible supervisors, using the necessary equipment in the performance of these jobs.
• Observes safety standards and practices.
• Performs related duties as required or assigned with job classification.
