Job summary

The Gardens at Aldersgate in Topeka, KS is seeking a part-time Dietary Aide for evening shifts (3:45-8:00 pm). You will support meal preparation, service, and cleanup for patients, staff, and events in the nursing center.

Responsibilities include assisting cooks, preparing nourishments, desserts and salads, labeling items, and following production sheets and safety guidelines. Prior food service and long-term care experience are preferred, with strong communication and sanitation awareness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic sanitation, organization and safety understanding.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director.
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods; pours beverages.
• Follows production sheets and guidelines when appropriate.
