Job summary

University Housing at the University of Georgia is seeking a Night Desk Assistant. This student position is part-time, non-exempt, and supports desk operations, customer service, key handling, and information services for residents and guests.

Hours are limited to 20 per week and shifts may include overnights, weekends, breaks, and holidays. Mandatory training on August 10–12, 2026 is required for all new hires, with additional supervisory guidance provided.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at least half-time when classes are in session.
• Must be in good standing with University Housing.
• New hires must attend mandatory training on August 10–12, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Follow desk policies, manage keys, and control access.
• Provide exemplary customer service to residents, guests, faculty and staff.
• Serve as a resource for housing and university operations information.
• Support desk staff with administrative tasks.
• Enforce university and department policies and confidentiality.
• Assist in opening/closing residence halls and during breaks/holidays.
