Job summary

NEXDINE Hospitality in Melville, NY is seeking a Deli / Salad Cook to handle production of salads and sandwiches, and to help with kitchen cleanup before, during, and after service. You will prepare sandwiches, salads, and desserts for students and faculty, and stock stations for service.

This hands-on role requires accurate speed, efficiency, and excellent customer service, with a focus on food safety and teamwork. Full-time hours and weekly pay are offered with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years' deli experience preferred.
• Front and back of house experience a plus; dependable and neat.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals including made-to-order deli/salad items and catering orders.
• Chop and slice meats, cheese, and vegetables; make sandwiches and grab-and-go items.
• Set up and stock lunch/dinner stations; ensure cleanliness and safety.
• Serve customers with friendly, efficient service; maintain department appearance.
• Help with cleaning the kitchen during and after shifts and assist with orders.
