California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) is seeking an Cyber Security Adjunct Instructor to teach synchronous online courses. Classes run Monday and Tuesday evenings, with remote work allowed for California residents.

The role emphasizes engaging instruction, up-to-date cyber knowledge, and data-driven student support. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, cybersecurity certifications, and 3+ years in the field or 2+ years teaching.

Qualifications

• Official transcripts of bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and subject taught certification.
• Certifications in cybersecurity: Security+, CISSP, CEH, CGRC, CySA+, PenTest+, SecAI+ (hourly) desired.
• 3+ years in Cyber/Network/Info Security or 2+ years teaching experience.
• Synchronous online teaching experience preferred.
• Strong subject matter expertise and commitment to professional development.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Canvas.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize synchronous online instruction to maximize student engagement.
• Deliver lessons and communicate subject matter via Microsoft Teams.
• Maintain compliance with college policies and accreditation requirements.
• Foster inclusive, respectful learning environments and effective student support.
