Job summary

Nantucket Public Schools at Nantucket Intermediate School in Nantucket, MA is seeking a Custodian for the 2-10 PM shift. The role involves cleaning floors, classrooms, restrooms, collecting trash, material handling, and light maintenance.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in custodial work (5 years preferred), basic computer skills and knowledge of HVAC control systems, a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, and the ability to lift heavy loads and work

Qualifications

Familiarity with facilities maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures; previous custodial experience preferred.
Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of HVAC control systems.
Must have a valid Massachusetts Driver License.
Must be able to lift/transport heavy loads and work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Perform day to day cleaning of floors, classrooms, and restrooms.
Assist with opening/closing and security checks.
Carry out light maintenance tasks (bulb replacement, unit ventilators, painting, spill response).
General interior maintenance (painting and minor repairs).
Follow directions from the Building Supervisor or Facilities Director.
