Job summary

Nessacus Regional Middle School in Dalton, Massachusetts is seeking a Night Custodian (.4 FTE) to support the Central Berkshire Regional School District. The role asks for custodial and plant operations experience, with duties including cleaning, maintenance, and general care of the building and grounds to keep students and staff safe and comfortable.

The position reports to the Building Principal and offers a first-shift summer option.

Qualifications

Experience in custodial and plant operations.
Ability and willingness to perform general custodial duties.
Ability to work with machinery and technology consistent with building use.
Proven ability to work courteously with other staff and public.
Must be reliable, able to work as part of a team.
Massachusetts driver's license required.
Ability to lift 40 lbs.
Satisfactory CORI/SORI/Background Check.
Other duties may be assigned by the building principal or Director of Finance and Operations.
Two hour asbestos awareness training required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

Custodians shall report, and provide support to the building principal, their building's head custodian and perform a variety of tasks including cleaning, maintenance and general care of the building and grounds.
Primary responsibility is to ensure students and staff have a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to learn, play, work and develop.
