Duties include cleaning offices, lobbies, cafeterias, restrooms, and corridors, stocking supplies, and ensuring proper safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities

• Perform all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Custodial Department.
• Routine cleaning of administrative offices, lobbies, cafeterias, lounges, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner.
• Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, windows, doors, trim, and related furnishings; move furniture and supplies as directed.
• Collect recyclable and non-recyclable waste and replace trash can liners.
• Periodically clean telephones with germicidal cleaner; maintain hygiene of surfaces.
• Vacuum traffic areas and any visible debris on carpets.
• Clean light switches, doors, walls, furniture tops and blinds.
• Polish tables, benches and chairs; remove cobwebs.
• Transport trash to designated areas and secure the work area with safety signs.
• Lock/unlock doors and windows; ensure lights are off when rooms are unoccupied.
• Maintain confidentiality; report safety hazards to supervisor; follow PPE and infection control practices.
• Perform work as directed; keep cleaning carts attended; custodial closets locked; keep hallways clear of equipment.
• Leave equipment clean and ready for use at end of shift.
