Job summary

Owens Realty Services seeks a General Cleaner in Orlando to perform custodial work across facilities. The role includes cleaning offices, lobbies, restrooms, and common areas to industry standards, with attention to sanitation and safety.

The position is part-time, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour. Candidates must be flexible for nights, weekends, and holidays and adhere to PPE and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Performs all tasks professionally reflecting the company's integrity.
• Cleans administrative offices, lobbies, breakrooms, lounges, corridors, bathrooms, elevators and stairways.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms; stocks toilet paper, towels, and soap.
• Cleans and dusts furniture, fixtures, windows, doors, and related furnishings.
• Moves furniture and loads/unloads supplies only when directed by a supervisor.
• Collects recyclable and non-recyclable waste; replaces trash liners as needed.
• Cleans telephones with germicidal cleaners where applicable.
• Vacuum the traffic areas and remove visible debris from carpets.
• Cleans light switches, doors, walls, and tops of modular furniture and blinds.
• Polishes tables, benches, chairs, and stainless surfaces; cleans sinks and water fountains.
• Empties trash safely and breaks down heavy trash into manageable portions.
• Locks/unlocks doors; turns off lights when rooms are unoccupied.
• Reports to work on time in company uniform with badge and safety shoes.
• Identifies safety hazards and reports them to supervision.
• Follows PPE usage and infection control procedures; handles bio-waste safely.
• Maintains clean hands and follows hand-washing practices.
• Works a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Keeps custodial carts and closets secured and stocked; signs keys in/out.
• Keeps hallways clear of carts and equipment; ensures safe work areas.
• Leaves equipment and cleaning materials clean and ready for use.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
