Job summary

Tidewater Community College seeks part-time Custodian for the Norfolk campus, evenings 6:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with rotating Saturdays. Essential duties include cleaning, trash removal, and basic maintenance to support campus facilities.

The role requires ability to work in inclement weather, snow removal, and adherence to safety procedures. Reports to custodial supervisor and participates in special events setup as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of custodial operations and industry standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.
• Experience using cleaning equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks: trash removal, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sweeping.
• Maintain attendance and assist with event setup.
• Snow removal and weather-related duties as needed.
• Provide room setup/takedown and light bulb replacement.
