Tidewater Community College seeks applications for part-time Custodian positions at the Norfolk Campus for the evening shift, 6:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. with rotating Saturdays.
Must be able to report to work during inclement weather and assist in snow removal from entries and walkways and application of snow-melt when required.
This position will provide a full range of custodial/housekeeping services for college facilities to include, but not limited to, trash removal, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sweeping, floor stripping and waxing, carpet cleaning, window cleaning, black/white-board cleaning, etc. Provide room set-up/take-down assistance and light bulb replacement as assigned. Perform other cleaning tasks as assigned. Maintain and demonstrate good attendance habits.
This position, designated as an essential position, must be able to report to work and fulfill responsibilities of the position in the event of college/campus closure due to weather or emergent conditions
Provides cleaning services to the colleges buildings, to include, but not limited to, daily removal of trash, mopping, dusting and sweeping, vacuuming. Must assist in the set up and take down of special events if assigned. Complies with laws and procedures for storage and disposal of trash and waste.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
