Job summary

Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools is seeking a reliable Custodian for the 2nd shift to maintain a safe and clean school facility. The role supports daily operations, requires attention to detail, and adherence to district standards for cleanliness and safety.

The position reports to the Lead Custodian and offers a benefits package. Pay rate ranges from $47,421 to $49,330 per year, with full-time hours and district‑level responsibilities across the campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have valid MN driver’s license.
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force.
• Experience with personal computers and district software is preferred.
• Knowledge of building and boiler maintenance methods, materials, tools and equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Keeps the building and premises neat, clean, and safe (including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas).
• Ensures floors, walls, ceilings, fixtures, furniture, and equipment are cleaned and maintained per district standards.
• Moves furniture and equipment within buildings as directed by supervisor.
• Satisfies building security measures by securing windows and doors as required.
• Submits online work requests in a timely and complete manner.
• Complies with health and safety codes, including OSHA standards, to ensure safe working conditions.
• Reports safety concerns promptly to the Lead Custodian.
• Completes assigned tasks in a timely and professional manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
