Job summary

SBM Management Services, LP is seeking a Custodian in Long Beach to ensure cleanliness and sanitation across assigned areas. The role requires following schedules, operating cleaning equipment, and handling hazardous waste under safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred.
• May be required to have a valid driver's license; safety training certification and forklift certification may be required.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform janitorial duties
• Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
• Hazardous Waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste
• Operate motorized cleaning equipment
• Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
• Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
• Stop at risk behavior of others and self
• Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
• Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
• Take direction and respond to supervision
• Talk with lead, supervisor, co-workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
• Fill in during staff shortage
• Support shift lead in completing punch-list items
• Use proper personal protective equipment
• Present a professional appearance and conduct
• Understand customer service and satisfaction
• Understand reporting systems, and of the environment
