Community College of Allegheny County is hiring a Custodian / Laborer at West Hills Center. The role is regular full-time, in-person, with shifts 2:30 pm–11:00 pm, supporting campus housekeeping, grounds, and maintenance across CCAC sites.

Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs, equipment operation, and occasional travel to other CCAC locations. The position requires a HS diploma or GED and a valid PA driver’s license, with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED preferred; ability to read, write and do basic math required.
• Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
• Able to read and follow directions on cleaning products.
• Able to operate vacuums, rug shampoo machines, lawn mowers, snowplows and related equipment.
• Able to perform minor repairs and routine maintenance.
• Willing to travel to campuses within the CCAC system.
• Proficient with college-supported software.
• Regular and timely attendance.

Aufgaben

• Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers.
• Housekeeping/janitorial: sweep, mop, vacuum, wax floors, clean restrooms, and replenish supplies.
• Grounds keeping: mow grass, plantings, snow removal, painting outside surfaces, and repairs.
• General maintenance: perform minor repairs and use basic tools.
• Set up and move furniture, equipment, and supplies; empty trash; replace light bulbs.
• Drive campus vehicles to pick up and deliver supplies.
• Follow applicable laws, policies, and directives; work as directed by supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as required.
