Job summary

Schaumburg Community Consolidated School District 54 Operations and Maintenance - Schaumburg, Illinois is seeking a Night Custodian to perform full custodial duties, maintain a safe and sanitary facility, and support event setup and teardown. You will arm/disarm alarms, lock/unlock doors, clean washrooms, dispose of waste, and report maintenance needs.

This full-time role requires prior custodial experience and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial services.
• Ability to coordinate work schedules.
• Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
• Must be able to mentor, coach and train.
• Extensive knowledge of small machines, including their care, maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Arm and disarm the building alarm and keep a secure building.
• Lock and unlock doors and maintain security.
• Perform set-ups and teardowns for school and outside activities.
• Inspect for vandalism and report to custodial leads.
• Clean and disinfect washrooms and windows.
• Dispose of garbage, empty trash cans and replace liners.
