Job summary

Winona Area Public Schools is seeking a Custodian or Custodian/Engineer (Internal) for the 2026-27 school year at Winona Middle School. Shift is 2:00pm-10:30pm, 8 hours per day, 256 days per year, with a boiler license-based premium.

The role requires custodial experience, the ability to work with limited direction, and strong customer service skills to interact with staff and students in a school setting. Boiler licensing adds additional hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience required.
• Experience with commercial cleaning equipment preferred.
• Must have the ability to work with limited direction.
• Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to work with education staff and to adapt to a changing work environment as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and operate buildings; boiler inspection/operation if licensed; assist in set up and clean up for special events; may rotate into other positions and shifts.
