Job summary

University of Tennessee at Martin is accepting applications for an assistant custodial foreman working a 3:00 PM–11:00 PM schedule Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with full benefits.

The role includes supervising student workers, maintaining floors and classrooms, and coordinating custodial operations for events and daily activities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with custodial experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with six months of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down for events with different room configurations.
• Perform custodial tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment for students, staff and visitors.
• Supervise and train student employees.
• Maintain floors and carpets (stripping, waxing, extraction).
• Assist with technology hookups for events (podiums, microphones, VGA/HDMI, laptops, projectors).
• Address custodial issues between shifts and report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Order and manage custodial supplies for assigned areas.
