Job summary

Utah Tech University is seeking a full-time PM custodian to perform evening custodial maintenance in assigned buildings, supervise part-time and student staff, and assist with campus cleaning projects.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 6 months experience (2+ preferred), and the ability to work 9:00pm–5:30am Monday–Friday; benefits include medical, dental, vision, retirement, and tuition waivers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months related experience; two years preferred.
• Must be able to work a Monday–Friday 9:00pm–5:30am shift.
• Basic knowledge of computers (word processing and email).
• Knowledge of custodial tools and equipment such as industrial vacuums, rotary floor scrubber, carpet extractor, and large riding equipment.
• Ability to supervise and train part-time and student employees.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; physical exam and drug testing required before start date.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for custodial maintenance of assigned buildings.
• Clean and maintain floors by vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, waxing, and shampooing carpets and wet areas.
• Clean and supply restrooms with germicidal detergents.
• Coordinate cleaning with building schedule and notify Public Safety of problems.
• Repair small items and seek help with skilled personnel as needed.
• Supervise and train part-time and student custodians.
• Assist with moving heavy equipment and furniture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
