Job summary

Ebenezer Senior Care & Living in Fridley, MN is seeking a part-time Culinary Assistant to join our senior living culinary team at Willows Bend. You will provide dining room and to-go meal service to residents in the Willows Bend community.

The role requires serving meals, maintaining a clean dining area, accommodating resident dietary needs, and following safety and sanitation guidelines, with a consistent 4 PM – 7:30 PM schedule and every-other weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of previous experience.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• 1 year of previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting.
• Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
• Offers resident meal choices and meets resident’s specific dietary needs.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
• Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
• Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
• Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
• Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
• Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction: Welcomes residents and initiates conversation.
• Accommodates resident requests such as requests for food substitution, change in seating, etc.
• Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately. Refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
