Job summary

Child Saving Institute is seeking a Crisis Youth Counselor for the 2PM–10PM shift at the Children Square Campus in Council Bluffs, IA. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with possibilities to impact youth in short-term crisis stabilization by directly supporting, mentoring and supervising them daily.

• Meets one of the eight minimum qualifications listed in the posting.
• Experience working with children and families is preferred.
• Knowledge of childcare practices and developmental issues.
• Ability to handle crises and de-escalate emotionally dysregulated youth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement behavior management and de-escalation.
• Provide direct support, mentorship and supervision to youth in crisis stabilization.
• Advocate for children and adolescents experiencing mental health crises.
