Child Saving Institute is seeking a Crisis Youth Counselor for the 2PM–10PM shift at the Children Square Campus in Council Bluffs, IA. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with possibilities to impact youth in short-term crisis stabilization by directly supporting, mentoring and supervising them daily.

We’re on a mission to champion what’s best for each child and family.As ***a Crisis Youth Care Specialist***, you’ll be an essential part of our team. Your responsibilities would include ***Supervising and Implementing behavior management techniques and de-escalation by providing direct support, mentorship and supervision to the youth in the short-term Crisis Stabilization program.*** In short, our ***CSRS Youth Care Specialist*** will serve as a vital advocate and support system for children and adolescents experiencing mental health crises***.******One of the Following 8 Minimum Required Qualifications Must Be Met:***1. A mental health professional as defined in Iowa Code section 228.1.2. A bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours or equivalent in a human services field (including, but not limited to, psychology, social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, nursing, education) and at least one year of experience in behavioral or mental health services.3. A law enforcement officer trained in crisis intervention including, but not limited to, mental health first aid and mental health in-service training.4. An emergency medical technician (EMT) trained in crisis intervention including, but not limited to, mental health first aid.5. A peer support specialist with a minimum certification of mental health first aid.6. A family support peer specialist with a minimum certification of mental health first aid.7. A registered nurse with two years of mental or behavioral health experience.8.
