Job summary

Child Saving Institute in Council Bluffs, IA is seeking a Youth Care Specialist for the CSQ Shelter. You will provide a safe, therapeutic, and learning environment for children and youth ages 0-18, with direct supervision and support as they navigate challenging situations.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred), be at least 21, and bring experience in human services with at-risk youth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 21+ years of age minimum.
• Experience in Human Services with children at risk preferred.
• Clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, therapeutic, learning environment for children and youth ages 0-18.
• Provide direct supervision and support to youth during program activities.
• Maintain program structure and maintain accurate records as required.
• Demonstrate respectful, empathetic engagement with youth and families.
• Adhere to agency policies, procedures, and licensing standards.
