Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System seeks a Crisis Response Peer Support Specialist to deliver direct supportive services to individuals with mental health needs in the Horizons Reno County area. The role emphasizes recovery-oriented care, triage of crisis calls, and collaboration with clinicians and community partners.

This full-time on-site position involves evening, overnight, and weekend shifts with a focus on stabilizing clients in the community.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills.
• Peer status per KDADS guidelines; minimum one year in stable recovery.
• Familiarity with Community Mental Health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supportive mental health services to individuals in the community.
• Assist clients in generating proactive solutions to barriers to recovery.
• Conduct trauma-informed risk assessments with guidance from a mental health professional.
• Collaborate with community partners, caregivers and treatment providers.
• Coordinate and monitor services; document timely and accurate records.
• Work 4 or 3 days per week with 12-hour shifts, evenings/nights, on-site for FT or on-call for PRN.
