Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System seeks a Mental Health Technician to provide crisis stabilization services to individuals in mental health crisis and support clients with daily living, medication adherence, and safety. The role emphasizes deescalation, compassionate interaction, and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; must be at least 21 years of age.
• Current BLS/CPR certificate within 30 days of hire or by orientation end.
• Experience in mental health services/crisis response preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis stabilization services to individuals in mental health crisis.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation per policy.
• Support clients with daily living, medication adherence, goal management, crisis management and safety.
• Utilize deescalation techniques when appropriate.
• Interact with clients in a positive and supportive manner.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and security compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
