Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology/medical laboratory science or in one of the biological, chemical or physical sciences; completion of a medical laboratory training program required.
• MLS/MT certification or equivalent from an approved body within six months of hire if not licensed in TN.
• Certification from ASCP, AMT, NRCC, ABB, ASCPi or equivalent is required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Execute prompt, efficient, and accurate performance, validation, and reporting of laboratory test results.
• Document and maintain records for quality control, compliance, and proper use of materials/equipment/PPE.
• Perform quality control activities and escalate issues as required.
• Assist in equipment setup, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting under guidance.
• Participate in lab inventory planning, monitoring, and management.
