Job summary

UT Health San Antonio seeks a Core Lab Supervisor for the Evening Shift to oversee the core laboratory staff and daily operations. The role emphasizes supervising testing, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining quality control in a multispecialty and research hospital setting.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Science and at least six years in a CAP/CLIA accredited lab, with two years of supervisory experience preferred. Strong LIS skills and excellent communication are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science required.
• Six years of progressive experience in a CAP/CLIA accredited clinical laboratory.
• Two years supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work schedules and assigns duties to laboratory staff.
• Performs experimental testing procedures and improves validity of results.
• Ensures validity and accuracy of test results.
• Instructs trainees in procedures and techniques.
• Manages media and supplies for testing and research.
• Directs technical activities of the core laboratory and staff.
• Assists in updating policies for regulatory inspections.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
