Job summary

RiverMead in Peterborough, NH, is seeking a dependable Cook to join our culinary team. This full-time role offers a 12:00 PM–8:00 PM schedule, no early mornings, no late nights, and the chance to work with an experienced Executive Chef who mentors staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least one year of professional cooking experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare, senior living, hospitality, or institutional food service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items including soups, salads, sandwiches, entrées, sides, and desserts.
• Support food service across dining venues: the Pub, Bistro, Health Center, and Main Kitchen.
• Meet standards for food quality, presentation, consistency, and portion control.
• Help with meal prep, production, plating, and service.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, infection control, and HACCP guidelines.
• Monitor and record food and refrigeration temperatures.
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and safe.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and help with routine equipment care.
• Work with chefs, cooks, servers, and the Dining Services team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
• Pitch in wherever needed to keep meal service running smoothly.
