Southfield Wellness Community is seeking a part-time Cook for the afternoon shift (12:00pm–7:30pm) in a skilled nursing setting. The role involves preparing meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and maintaining high standards of food quality with attention to safety.

Prior SNF foodservice experience is preferable, but the right candidate may be trained. Join our friendly team and contribute to a caring dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10th grade education.
• Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience preferred.
• Willing to train the right candidate.

As a Dietary Team Member you will provide residents with one of their favorite parts of the day! Your work ensure our residents receive the high standard of food quality they have grown to expect at Southfield Wellness Community by preparing and ensuring residents receive the appropriate food items for each meal in accordance to their dietary needs, ensuring the safety of food and equipment by recording temperatures, and following recipes for preparing large volumes of food. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive a pleasant and safe dining experience.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a tenth (10th) grade education. Prior Skilled Nursing Foodservice experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
