Saint Joseph’s Center in Dunmore, PA is seeking a Community Direct Support Professional for part-time evening hours. The role provides in-home and community-based support to individuals with intellectual disabilities, emphasizing independence, inclusion, and dignity.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.

Responsabilités

• Help people and their families in their homes or in the community based on their specific needs.
• Be flexible with your schedule to meet the needs of each person and family.
• Drive and go with individuals to community activities when needed.
• Write and turn in notes that describe what activities you did and how they helped the person.
• Follow each person’s support plan and document their progress.
• Keep all required paperwork up to date and organized.
• Keep your car, insurance, and driver’s license information current and on file.
• Help with light cleaning if needed, such as vacuuming, dusting, or doing laundry.
• Be respectful and work well with coworkers, supervisors, and families.
