Job summary

Candidates must hold a California CNA, AHA BLS, and be able to work the 3:00 PM–11:30 PM shift. This on-site role operates within a unionized environment under SEIU-UHW, with an 8/40 schedule.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved nursing assistant course.
• California Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - REQUIRED.
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - REQUIRED.
• Current certification as Nursing Assistant for long-term care and skilled nursing required, rehab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admissions, discharge and transfer responsibilities.
• Inventories and documents patient belongings on admission.
• Transfers/transports patient to activities, therapies and other departments on time and in a safe manner.
• Performs routine unit tasks and maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Documents daily patient care and updates licensed nurse on changes.
• Communicates plans to transfer/discharge and seeks guidance when needed.
