Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant for full-time evening shifts (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) in Sioux Falls, SD. The role involves patient-focused nursing care, daily living support, vital signs, and collaboration with the nursing team to maintain quality care in a 40-hour work week.

The CNA must be state-certified or actively enrolled in certification, with GED or high school diploma. A $2,500 bonus is eligible and robust benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with daily living activities: bathing, grooming, dressing, Toileting and meals.
• Record vital signs and monitor resident condition under RN supervision.
• Assist in transferring, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques and equipment.
• Support infection control policies and PPE usage.
• Document resident interactions and communicate changes to charge nurse.
