Job summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) at Good Samaritan Sanford Health - Sioux Falls Center provides resident-centered care within a 36-hour weekly schedule, including 6:00 AM–6:30 PM shifts. The role emphasizes infection control, documentation, and teamwork with RN supervision to support daily living activities and health monitoring.

Qualified candidates hold CNA certification, are 16+ years old, and commit to a comprehensive benefits package and potential driving duties as required by the facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 16 and prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification required by State Board of Nursing, or certified within four months of date of hire.
• Annual continuing education requirement of 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, taking vital signs.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and walking using proper techniques.
• Support meals service and dining experience, offer assistance with meals and snacks.
• Document resident interactions, report changes to charge nurse, and assist with wellness programs.
