Job summary

Sanford Health in Albert Lea seeks a Nursing Assistant to join the Good Samaritan Society facility in southern Minnesota. The NA delivers resident-centered care under an RN, assisting with daily living activities and basic health care per the care plan.

Evening shifts: 8 hours per week. Active MN CNA certification is required; a GED or high school diploma is preferred. You will document vitals, aid transfers, and support wellness initiatives in a long‑term care setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 16; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing is required or in process of obtaining certification.
• Must complete yearly competency testing and maintain continuing education credits (minimum 12 hours annually).
• For applicable states, must be certified/registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident-centered nursing care under the supervision of an RN.
• Assists residents with daily living activities and basic health care tasks.
• Documents resident interactions, vitals, and care-related information for the care plan.
• Supports infection prevention, PPE use, and collaborates with the nursing team.
