Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a patient care assistant for the 3:00pm–11:30pm shift. This role supports nursing staff by performing daily living activities, documenting patient data, and ensuring safety with vital signs and care tasks.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and CPR/Heartsaver AED certification; full-time, 24 hours per week, with full benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement, and vacation.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English and verbal and written communication skills.
• Good bedside manners and public relations abilities.
• Ability to follow directions and document patient data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assists with CPR under supervision of RN or physician.
• Documents patient care activities and data using forms or systems.
• Performs activities of daily living and basic care tasks.
• Completes assigned duties within required timeframes.
• Communicates patient progress and diagnostic results to the RN.
