Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a patient care assistant for an evening shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) to support daily living activities and essential patient care tasks. You will document patient data, assist with admissions/discharges, and reinforce teaching under RN supervision in a dynamic hospital setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and AED certification; prior healthcare practicum is preferred. Competitive benefits apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Paid or practicum clinical experience preferred.
• AHA Heartsaver AED required; non-licensed must obtain before orientation end.
• Strong English communication and bedside manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist with CPR under RN/Physician supervision.
• Document patient data accurately using forms/systems.
• Perform activities of daily living support (hygiene, feeding, etc.).
• Complete duties within the time frame set by the RN.
• Support discharge teaching and patient self-care.
• Measure and record vital signs; document data promptly.
• Observe patients for significant changes and report.
• Communicate patient progress and test results clearly to the RN.
