Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Cardiology Inpatient unit at Hopewell. This part-time night position involves supportive patient care, ADLs, vital signs, and preparing patients for transports under RN supervision.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and may have six months of Nursing Assistant experience or be enrolled in an LPN/RN program. AHA Heartsaver AED certification is required; UAP training is provided by Capital Health.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Experience: Six months of Nursing Assistant/Health Aid experience or enrollment in LPN/RN program preferred.
• Credential: AHA Heartsaver AED.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living and hygiene.
• Monitors vital signs, weights, and intake/output; performs phlebotomy and glucometer tests as assigned.
• Records nursing care activities and communicates changes to the RN.

Education
