Job summary

Henry Ford Health’s Jackson hospital seeks a Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support a General Medical Surgical Unit, including renal and oncology patients. You will work under an RN, assisting with safety and comfort, and contribute to a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on patient care, input to care planning, and adherence to the Henry Ford Health Standards of Excellence. Evening/nights hours are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program.
• Enrolled in nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing completed.
• Foreign trained and licensed RN without Michigan RN license.
• Medical Assistant program with or without experience.
• At least one year of previous experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs.
• Provide input to assist the RN in planning and implementing patient care.
• Respond to emergent situations according to established procedures.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance skills.
• Uphold the Henry Ford Health Team Member Standards of Excellence in all interactions.
