Job summary

Trinity Health Of New England is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant II for a part-time evening shift to join our team of dedicated caregivers. You will assist patients with daily living activities and report information under RN supervision, while helping with transport, specimens, and supply distribution.

The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma or equivalent, CT Nurse Aide Registry certification, BLS, and healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience.
• Proof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience is required.
• Certification: Current Connecticut Nurse Aide Registry certification required. BLS certification required. Ability to pass drug screening and background check

Responsibilities

• Collect and report patient information and data.
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation.
• Patient Transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients
• As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety
