Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. The role supports patients with activities of daily living and helps maintain a safe, clean environment on the 2nd shift (2:45pm-11:15pm) with observation for safety and timely reporting of conditions.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and current CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification required; CPR/BLS within 30 days of hire if not currently certified.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Record vitals, intake/output, height, weight and other measurements in the EMR; observe changes in condition.
• Assist with patient transportation, equipment management and infection control procedures.
