Qualifications

• Requires at least a 10th grade education.
• Licensed CNA in accordance with state laws.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents using wristbands or photo IDs before care.
• Report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly.
• Document resident care, observations, and activities accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Assist with daily personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Ensure call lights are answered promptly and residents are checked regularly.
• Assist with mobility: lifting, turning, positioning, transporting.
• Provide restorative and rehabilitative care as instructed.
• Keep resident rooms clean and comfortable, respecting dignity.
• Observe for signs of pressure injuries and report immediately.
• Assist with meal service, identify meals, and record intake.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Support residents emotionally and create a calm environment.
• Report allegations of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of property.
