Job summary

Bakersfield Post Acute in Bakersfield, CA, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a part-time role to provide routine daily nursing care in accordance with each resident’s assessment and care plan. The CNA will assist with personal care, monitor resident conditions, and ensure comfort and dignity at all times.

Qualified candidates will hold a state CNA license, have English-reading/writing ability, and demonstrate compassion and reliability in a team-based healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a 10th grade education or higher.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) per state laws.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before care using wristbands or photo IDs.
• Report changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor promptly.
• Record resident care and observations on charts and flow sheets.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
• Assist with daily personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting.
• Ensure call lights are answered promptly and assist with mobility and transfers.
• Provide restorative and rehabilitative care as instructed.
• Uphold residents' rights and report refusals of treatment appropriately.
