Job summary

PeaceHealth is seeking a CNA for the Nursing Float Pool on a Full Time, 0.90 FTE, Evening position. The role involves floating between multiple medical/surgical and critical care units to support a wide range of patients.

You will assist professional nursing staff with direct and indirect patient care, perform basic nursing assistant procedures, and document care under supervision. A CNA license for Washington and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year preferred in an acute care facility
• Required: Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific principles of growth and development and life stages

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing direct patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse within CNA scope
• Perform basic technical skills: CPR; vitals; intake/output; dressings; report signs of illness
• Assist with personal care: bathing, grooming, toileting, hydration
• Help patients walk, mobility, and transfer
• Maintain unit supplies and restock patient care areas
• Document relevant patient care data
• May provide clerical support on unit (order entry, chart processing, calls)
• Perform other duties as assigned
