Job summary

Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR is seeking a CNA for its Float Pool—-.9 FTE night shifts (7pm–7:30am) with rotating weekends. You will support admission, discharge, and transfer processes across multiple units, helping deliver patient- and family-centered care.

Orientation is four weeks, with on-floor training, constant observer duties, and nursing station support. A $4.00 p/hr night differential is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Oregon CNA certification required on hire.
• Current BLS certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a high functioning team.
• Assist RN with admissions, discharges, transfers.
• Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights.
• Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests.
• Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices.
• Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference.
• Other duties as assigned.
