Job summary

Providence Milwaukie Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Float Pool Unit on a .9 FTE night shift (7pm-7:30am, 3 shifts/week) with rotating weekends. You will work under RN supervision to support admissions, discharges, transfers, vital signs, specimen collection and patient mobility.

Required: Oregon CNA license and BLS. Preferred: 1 year CNA experience. Providence offers strong benefits and opportunities for education and growth within the Providence family.

Qualifications

• Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License (upon hire).
• BLS - American Heart Association (upon hire).
• 1 year of CNA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a high-functioning team.
• Assist RN with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights.
• Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests.
• Assist with client mobility and transfers using lifts and safe patient handling devices.
• Pursue continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference.
